Guest Melissa Gordon Metzler is a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist that believes that all one does is relational; and every situation or circumstance helps to shape who we are and who we are becoming. She works to bridge the gap between one's inner and outer worlds to help facilitate a sense of peace, clarity, and growth. Prior to becoming a therapist, she worked as a Special Education teacher and specialized in children with social and emotional needs. Melissa is sought after because she is known for her high levels of experience of working with "neuro-spicy" children and their parents, as well as other neurodiverse individuals. She facilitates a safe space where she teaches those, she works with, how to understand their emotional needs in relation to their nervous system. Melissa is known to speak about learning the difference between co-regulation and co-dependency in order to build a more resilient and self-loving community.
